Roborock
Up to three
All robot vacuums. Every figure below is placed against the whole class, so a gap can be read against how much the class itself varies.
The conditions each robot was assessed against, side by side. Rows marked in gold are where these machines genuinely differ.
| Condition | Roborock Qrevo MaxV | Qrevo Edge 3 Pro |
|---|---|---|
| Home size | ||
| Under 1,500 sqft | GoodCapable in compact spaces, but Dock 2.0 floor footprint and full feature set exceed what most small homes need. | GoodIn independent lab testing, it took 18 minutes to clean a 204 sq ft area on the normal cycle, so small homes finish quickly. |
| 1,500 – 3,000 | GoodLiDAR SLAM covers this range in a single 180-minute session; zone scheduling maps cleanly across standard layouts. | GoodStuff ran combined mop and vacuum cycles of nearly 90 minutes without the battery running out mid-clean. |
| Over 3,000they differ | GoodMulti-zone scheduling and 180-min runtime handle large homes; manufacturer specs support multi-floor operation. | DependsRoborock claims about 3,770 sq ft per charge; no independent run across a home this size has been published. |
| Primary floors | ||
| Hard floors | GoodFlexiArm edge mopping and auto-wash dock maintain hard-floor coverage without daily owner pad management. | GoodIndependent lab testing recorded 94% flour pickup on hard floor, and another reviewer saw an upturned flour bag cleared. |
| Low / medium pile | GoodMop pads lift 10 mm on carpet detection per manufacturer specs; 7,000 Pa suction handles low-pile reliably. | GoodOne reviewer found fine dust, crumbs and rice lifted from carpet, with pads raised so rugs stayed dry. |
| High pile / shag | DependsOwner reports (2024-2026) describe coverage inconsistency on high-pile; the 10 mm mop lift may not clear deeper pile uniformly. | DependsRated for pile up to 1.18 in; independent lab testing measured 57% flour pickup on carpet and missed a sock there. |
| Mopping needs | ||
| Vacuum only | GoodStrong vacuum; the mop lifts or detaches when not needed. | GoodStrong vacuum; the mop lifts or detaches when not needed. |

A robot being poor for a condition is a fact about fit, not a fault. “Depends” means the record names a limit worth reading, not that the answer is unknown.
Nine inputs across three pillars, each weighted as shown and each scored so more is better. A robot can lead on one and trail on another, which is the point of showing them apart.
A number only means something next to the spread it sits in. Each track is the real range across every classified robot in the class, with the median marked.
Not compared, because fewer than two of these robots carry a published figure: Runtime, Charge time, Noise.
Written on each record, and the only thing here every robot on the site carries.
What each design gives up to be good at what it is good at.
The FlexiArm extends the mop to the wall edge; it moves nothing. Homes with floor-level obstacle scatter still require a pre-run tidying pass or accepted avoidance routing.
7,000 Pa suction: competitive at launch in early 2024, now below the 10,000-plus Pa ratings of 2025-generation flagships. Cleaning ability in open hard-floor spaces holds up; the gap shows on carpeted zones with heavier debris.
The retracting turret buys under-sofa reach, and the reviews show a LiDAR robot that still needs rescuing now and then.
Obstacle recognition that works on light carpet and hard floor missed a sock and a cable on brown carpet, so the floor color decides how much pre-tidying a run needs.
Hot-water pad washing ends the mop smell. The dock’s clean and dirty tanks still go to the sink by hand.
Stated by the record itself. A robot being wrong for a household is a fact about fit, not a fault.
The upkeep ownership hands back to you, whatever the autonomy level says.
Classifications rest on different depths of evidence. A pre-release assessment and a verified one are not the same kind of claim.

Evidence status counts the sources behind a classification, not their kind. A high count can be maker documentation and price coverage, so read it as how much was reviewed rather than as independent testing. How we weigh evidence.
