Neato Robotics

Roborock
Up to three
All robot vacuums. Every figure below is placed against the whole class, so a gap can be read against how much the class itself varies.
The conditions each robot was assessed against, side by side. Rows marked in gold are where these machines genuinely differ.
| Condition | Neato D8 | Roborock Qrevo S Pro |
|---|---|---|
| Home size | ||
| Under 1,500 sqft | Good100-minute runtime covers compact homes in a single pass without recharging. | Good240-minute runtime and about 1,495 sq ft measured per charge easily covers compact layouts in one pass. |
| 1,500 – 3,000 | GoodLiDAR mapping handles mid-size floor plans; runtime sufficient for most single-story layouts. | GoodIndependent testing measured roughly 1,495 sq ft cleaned per charge, enough for most homes in this range without a recharge stop. |
| Over 3,000 | DependsRuntime caps at 100 minutes; large open plans may require multiple sessions without resume-from-dock support verified on all firmware. | DependsAt about 1,495 sq ft measured per charge, homes above 3,000 sq ft likely need more than one charge cycle to finish. |
| Primary floors | ||
| Hard floors | GoodD-shape chassis and spiral brush perform well on hard surfaces; edge reach is a documented strength. | Good18,500 Pa suction and automatically lifting mop pads clean bare floors without extra setup or manual pad removal. |
| Low / medium pile | GoodSpiral combo brush handles low-pile carpet reliably per owner reports from 2021 to 2022. | GoodIndependent testing measured 81 percent carpet debris removal, matching the category average despite a single rubber main brush. |
| High pile / shag | DependsOwner reports describe reduced agitation and occasional navigation hesitation on dense high-pile carpet. | DependsThe single rubber main brush gives less mechanical agitation than a bristle brush, so thick high-pile carpet likely sees reduced pickup. |
| Mopping needs | ||
| Vacuum only | GoodVacuum-only robot — matches a vacuum-only need. | GoodStrong vacuum; the mop lifts or detaches when not needed. |
| Light moppingthey differ | PoorThis model has no mopping function. | GoodActive mopping system covers routine floors easily. |
| Frequent moppingthey differ | PoorNo mop at all; choose a vacuum-and-mop robot instead. | GoodPressure or rotating mop with self-wash is built for frequent mopping. |

A robot being poor for a condition is a fact about fit, not a fault. “Depends” means the record names a limit worth reading, not that the answer is unknown.
Nine inputs across three pillars, each weighted as shown and each scored so more is better. A robot can lead on one and trail on another, which is the point of showing them apart.
A number only means something next to the spread it sits in. Each track is the real range across every classified robot in the class, with the median marked.
Not compared, because fewer than two of these robots carry a published figure: Suction, Charge time, Weight.
Written on each record, and the only thing here every robot on the site carries.
What each design gives up to be good at what it is good at.
LaserSmart LiDAR navigation remains functional; everything around it (app, firmware updates, OEM parts, support) is gone.
The D-shape chassis reaches corners most round vacuums miss. The trade-off: the side brush sits exposed at the leading edge, and hands-on reviews report it catching on throw rugs and stopping the run.
This is a flagship-grade mop paired with a mid-pack brush: the dock out-cleans machines twice its price, and the main roller falls behind machines half its price on pet hair.
Structured-light obstacle avoidance caught only 5 of 24 test obstacles, so floors need clearing before a run that a stronger sensor suite would tolerate left alone.
Single rubber main brush: strong on bare-floor debris, prone to hair wrap in shedding-pet homes.
Stated by the record itself. A robot being wrong for a household is a fact about fit, not a fault.
The upkeep ownership hands back to you, whatever the autonomy level says.
Classifications rest on different depths of evidence. A pre-release assessment and a verified one are not the same kind of claim.

Evidence status counts the sources behind a classification, not their kind. A high count can be maker documentation and price coverage, so read it as how much was reviewed rather than as independent testing. How we weigh evidence.
