Ecovacs
Up to three
All robot vacuums. Every figure below is placed against the whole class, so a gap can be read against how much the class itself varies.
The conditions each robot was assessed against, side by side. Rows marked in gold are where these machines genuinely differ.
| Condition | RoboVac X10 Pro Omni | Deebot X9 Pro Omni |
|---|---|---|
| Home size | ||
| Under 1,500 sqft | GoodHandles sub-1500 sq ft efficiently; water tank sufficient for single-pass coverage. | GoodSingle-session runtime covers under 1500 sqft; efficient bin-emptying interval for compact homes. |
| 1,500 – 3,000 | GoodOptimal range. LiDAR coverage strong; 60-day self-empty interval balances tank capacity against typical home size. | GoodTarget size range. Multi-floor mapping supports two-level homes; single-session scheduling typical. |
| Over 3,000 | DependsExceeds optimal runtime on maximum water-level settings. Split-room scheduling or multiple runs recommended. | DependsExceeds single-session battery range. Multi-run scheduling required; adds overall cycle duration. |

| Hard floors | GoodExcellent performance on tile, vinyl, hardwood. Hot-water wash optimized for these surfaces. | GoodDual rollers and suction calibrated for hard surfaces. Mop wash cycles optimized for tile and laminate. |
| Low / medium pilethey differ | DependsHandles low-pile carpets but requires manual pad removal to prevent water damage and mold risk. | GoodLow-pile carpet is primary design target. Dual-roller traction ensures consistent coverage. |
| High pile / shag | PoorOwner reports document suction loss and mop ineffectiveness on shag and high-pile carpet. | PoorOwner reports document suction loss and roller slippage on high-pile and shag. Not recommended for carpet-exclusive homes. |

A robot being poor for a condition is a fact about fit, not a fault. “Depends” means the record names a limit worth reading, not that the answer is unknown.
Nine inputs across three pillars, each weighted as shown and each scored so more is better. A robot can lead on one and trail on another, which is the point of showing them apart.
A number only means something next to the spread it sits in. Each track is the real range across every classified robot in the class, with the median marked.
Not compared, because fewer than two of these robots carry a published figure: Weight.
Written on each record, and the only thing here every robot on the site carries.
What each design gives up to be good at what it is good at.
Dock automation convenience costs about 14 by 18 inches of permanent floor space and adds setup and maintenance not present in dock-free competitors.
Pad washing and heated-air drying keep the mop usable between runs, but the wash tray, the two water tanks and the dock filter become recurring cleaning tasks a dock-free machine does not have.
The station carries the mop routine and asks for space and refills in return: it heats its own wash water, dries with 145F air and doses detergent, while its clean and dirty tanks are filled and emptied by hand from a fixed floor position.
Stated by the record itself. A robot being wrong for a household is a fact about fit, not a fault.
The upkeep ownership hands back to you, whatever the autonomy level says.
Classifications rest on different depths of evidence. A pre-release assessment and a verified one are not the same kind of claim.

Evidence status counts the sources behind a classification, not their kind. A high count can be maker documentation and price coverage, so read it as how much was reviewed rather than as independent testing. How we weigh evidence.
