Ecovacs
Up to three
All robot vacuums. Every figure below is placed against the whole class, so a gap can be read against how much the class itself varies.
The conditions each robot was assessed against, side by side. Rows marked in gold are where these machines genuinely differ.
| Condition | RoboVac X10 Pro Omni | Deebot N30 Omni |
|---|---|---|
| Home size | ||
| Under 1,500 sqft | GoodHandles sub-1500 sq ft efficiently; water tank sufficient for single-pass coverage. | GoodUp to 320 minutes runtime in quiet mode (manufacturer) comfortably covers compact home layouts in a single cleaning run. |
| 1,500 – 3,000they differ | GoodOptimal range. LiDAR coverage strong; 60-day self-empty interval balances tank capacity against typical home size. | DependsNo published per-charge square-footage coverage exists; 320-minute quiet-mode runtime is the only documented battery figure for mid-size homes. |
| Over 3,000 | DependsExceeds optimal runtime on maximum water-level settings. Split-room scheduling or multiple runs recommended. | DependsAn independent review found the app's automatic room segmentation needed manual correction, a friction that compounds across larger, more complex layouts. |
| Primary floors | ||
| Hard floors | GoodExcellent performance on tile, vinyl, hardwood. Hot-water wash optimized for these surfaces. | GoodAn independent review found it needs added detergent to fully remove tough, dried stains like ketchup or mud. |
| Low / medium pilethey differ | DependsHandles low-pile carpets but requires manual pad removal to prevent water damage and mold risk. | GoodAn independent review measured very good initial carpet pickup performance on low-to-medium pile flooring. |
| High pile / shagthey differ | PoorOwner reports document suction loss and mop ineffectiveness on shag and high-pile carpet. | DependsThe mop pad lifts on carpet detection to avoid wetting rugs, but no independent test measured pickup on high-pile carpet specifically. |
| Mopping needs | ||
| Vacuum only | GoodStrong vacuum; the mop lifts or detaches when not needed. | GoodStrong vacuum; the mop lifts or detaches when not needed. |

A robot being poor for a condition is a fact about fit, not a fault. “Depends” means the record names a limit worth reading, not that the answer is unknown.
Nine inputs across three pillars, each weighted as shown and each scored so more is better. A robot can lead on one and trail on another, which is the point of showing them apart.
A number only means something next to the spread it sits in. Each track is the real range across every classified robot in the class, with the median marked.
Not compared, because fewer than two of these robots carry a published figure: Weight.
Written on each record, and the only thing here every robot on the site carries.
What each design gives up to be good at what it is good at.
Dock automation convenience costs about 14 by 18 inches of permanent floor space and adds setup and maintenance not present in dock-free competitors.
Pad washing and heated-air drying keep the mop usable between runs, but the wash tray, the two water tanks and the dock filter become recurring cleaning tasks a dock-free machine does not have.
The dock self-washes and dries the mop pad without owner action, but an independent review found it still needs added detergent and multiple passes to fully lift tough, dried stains.
LDS laser navigation and TrueMapping 2.0 build and retain room maps efficiently, but without camera-based sensing an independent review documented one collision with a placed obstacle it should have avoided.
Stated by the record itself. A robot being wrong for a household is a fact about fit, not a fault.
The upkeep ownership hands back to you, whatever the autonomy level says.
Classifications rest on different depths of evidence. A pre-release assessment and a verified one are not the same kind of claim.

Evidence status counts the sources behind a classification, not their kind. A high count can be maker documentation and price coverage, so read it as how much was reviewed rather than as independent testing. How we weigh evidence.
