All robot vacuums. Every figure below is placed against the whole class, so a gap can be read against how much the class itself varies.
The conditions each robot was assessed against, side by side. Rows marked in gold are where these machines genuinely differ.
| Condition | eufy Omni S2 | Roborock S8 Max Ultra… |
|---|---|---|
| Home size | ||
| Under 1,500 sqft | GoodCapable but exceeds compact-home needs; premium automation goes underused in smaller spaces. | GoodRoborock lists up to 180 minutes of runtime, and the dock handles water without refills. |
| 1,500 – 3,000 | GoodCovers multi-floor homes efficiently; 130-minute runtime sufficient with resume capability. | GoodVacuum Wars saw nearly perfect coverage, and plumbing removes tank refills on long runs. |
| Over 3,000they differ | GoodDesigned for large spaces; scheduled multi-zone runs or persistent operation handles coverage. | DependsVacuum Wars rated its navigation efficiency about average, and no large-home test was found. |
| Primary floors | ||
| Hard floors | GoodCore design and roller-mop system optimized for hard-floor homes. | GoodVacuum Wars found near-perfect debris pickup and strong stain removal on hard floors. |
| Low / medium pile | Good30,000 Pa and roller-mop suit low carpet; hot-wash drying reduces moisture accumulation. | GoodVacuum Wars found carpet pickup nearly perfect, and pads lift 20 mm to stay dry. |
| High pile / shagthey differ | PoorSuction and low-pile-optimized mop poor match for shag or high-pile; coverage suffers. | DependsVacuum Wars rated its airflow and carpet deep clean below average, and no high-pile test was found. |
| Mopping needs | ||
| Vacuum only | GoodStrong vacuum; the mop lifts or detaches when not needed. | GoodStrong vacuum; the mop lifts or detaches when not needed. |
| Light mopping | GoodActive mopping system covers routine floors easily. | GoodActive mopping system covers routine floors easily. |
| Frequent mopping | GoodPressure or rotating mop with self-wash is built for frequent mopping. | GoodPressure or rotating mop with self-wash is built for frequent mopping. |
| You want to… | ||
| Empty bin myself | GoodDock automation handles most consumables, but water-line inspection and gasket checks require quarterly attention. | GoodOwners who expect upkeep will find the dock already handles water, dust and pad washing. |
| Empty occasionally | GoodAutomated dock cycles reduce hands-on work; seasonal dock service needed. | GoodRemaining tasks are dust bag changes, detergent refills every few months and replacing worn pads. |
| Set-and-forgetthey differ | Depends12-in-1 dock minimizes consumable touch, but heating-element and water-seal failures may demand repair intervention. | GoodPlumbed refill and drainage plus auto-empty, washing and drying leave only bags and detergent. |
A robot being poor for a condition is a fact about fit, not a fault. “Depends” means the record names a limit worth reading, not that the answer is unknown.
Nine inputs across three pillars, each weighted as shown and each scored so more is better. A robot can lead on one and trail on another, which is the point of showing them apart.
A number only means something next to the spread it sits in. Each track is the real range across every classified robot in the class, with the median marked.
Not compared, because fewer than two of these robots carry a published figure: Charge time, Noise, Weight.
Written on each record, and the only thing here every robot on the site carries.
What each design gives up to be good at what it is good at.
12-in-1 dock: solves every consumable task (empty, wash, dry, dispense), but spreads failure risk across electronics, pumps, tanks and thermal systems that need repair.
Hot-water washing with hot-air drying: eufy heats the wash water (70 C, listed as 140 F in US material) and dries the roller with 131 F air, which is what keeps a mop from souring between runs. It is also close to the whole of the $1,599 argument, and stations that dry with unheated air address the same problem more slowly for less.
The dock takes over every water chore, and in exchange it needs plumbing work before its first run.
Structured-light obstacle avoidance keeps a camera out of the home; Vacuum Wars found the camera model avoided obstacles better.
Stated by the record itself. A robot being wrong for a household is a fact about fit, not a fault.
The upkeep ownership hands back to you, whatever the autonomy level says.
Classifications rest on different depths of evidence. A pre-release assessment and a verified one are not the same kind of claim.

Evidence status counts the sources behind a classification, not their kind. A high count can be maker documentation and price coverage, so read it as how much was reviewed rather than as independent testing. How we weigh evidence.
