Up to three
All robot vacuums. Every figure below is placed against the whole class, so a gap can be read against how much the class itself varies.
The conditions each robot was assessed against, side by side. Rows marked in gold are where these machines genuinely differ.
| Condition | Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni | Qrevo Edge 3 Pro |
|---|---|---|
| Home size | ||
| Under 1,500 sqft | Good180-minute runtime covers single-session cleaning for most homes under 1500 sq ft without mid-run docking. | GoodIn independent lab testing, it took 18 minutes to clean a 204 sq ft area on the normal cycle, so small homes finish quickly. |
| 1,500 – 3,000they differ | Depends200ml mop water tank requires refilling mid-session on homes 1500-2500 sq ft; larger homes need dock return. | GoodStuff ran combined mop and vacuum cycles of nearly 90 minutes without the battery running out mid-clean. |
| Over 3,000they differ | Poor180-minute runtime and mop water capacity insufficient for single-session coverage above 3000 sq ft. | DependsRoborock claims about 3,770 sq ft per charge; no independent run across a home this size has been published. |
| Primary floors | ||
| Hard floors | GoodVacuum and mop both optimized for hard floors. LiDAR navigation and mop water distribution work reliably. | GoodIndependent lab testing recorded 94% flour pickup on hard floor, and another reviewer saw an upturned flour bag cleared. |
| Low / medium pile | GoodStandard carpet pile handled well. LiDAR and carpet-detection mop lift perform as documented. | GoodOne reviewer found fine dust, crumbs and rice lifted from carpet, with pads raised so rugs stayed dry. |
| High pile / shag | DependsMop pad lift occasionally misses high-pile and shag carpets; owner reports recommend no-mop zones for these areas. | DependsRated for pile up to 1.18 in; independent lab testing measured 57% flour pickup on carpet and missed a sock there. |
| Mopping needs | ||
| Vacuum only | GoodStrong vacuum; the mop lifts or detaches when not needed. | GoodStrong vacuum; the mop lifts or detaches when not needed. |

A robot being poor for a condition is a fact about fit, not a fault. “Depends” means the record names a limit worth reading, not that the answer is unknown.
Nine inputs across three pillars, each weighted as shown and each scored so more is better. A robot can lead on one and trail on another, which is the point of showing them apart.
A number only means something next to the spread it sits in. Each track is the real range across every classified robot in the class, with the median marked.
Not compared, because fewer than two of these robots carry a published figure: Runtime, Charge time, Noise.
Written on each record, and the only thing here every robot on the site carries.
What each design gives up to be good at what it is good at.
The OMNI Station washes and dries the mop pads and empties the bin after every session, but its own 4 L clean and 3.5 L dirty tanks are filled and emptied by hand.
AIVI 3D 2.0 pairs an RGBD sensor with the onboard camera for obstacle recognition, which puts a camera and a microphone in every room the robot enters, with no local-only mode available.
The retracting turret buys under-sofa reach, and the reviews show a LiDAR robot that still needs rescuing now and then.
Obstacle recognition that works on light carpet and hard floor missed a sock and a cable on brown carpet, so the floor color decides how much pre-tidying a run needs.
Hot-water pad washing ends the mop smell. The dock’s clean and dirty tanks still go to the sink by hand.
Stated by the record itself. A robot being wrong for a household is a fact about fit, not a fault.
The upkeep ownership hands back to you, whatever the autonomy level says.
Classifications rest on different depths of evidence. A pre-release assessment and a verified one are not the same kind of claim.

Evidence status counts the sources behind a classification, not their kind. A high count can be maker documentation and price coverage, so read it as how much was reviewed rather than as independent testing. How we weigh evidence.
