01 Classification

What each one does on its own.

The Autonomy Ladder is the same five rungs for every robot on the site. A rung describes the conditions a robot handles without you, not how good it is.

02 Assessment

Where they actually differ.

The Robovations Score is nine inputs across three pillars, each weighted as shown and each scored so that more is better. A robot can lead on one and trail on another, which is the point of showing them apart. Cost of ownership and data handling are reported on each robot's own page and are never averaged into the score.

None of these robots carries a scored assessment yet, so there is nothing to plot here. The classification and evidence below still apply.

03 Measured against the class

How far apart is a long way?

A number only means something next to the spread it sits in. Each track below is the real range across every classified robot in the class, with the median marked.

04 Ownership

What the numbers leave out.

The trade-off

What each design gives up to be good at what it is good at.

Ecovacs Deebot T50S Pro Omni

Dock automation moves the work rather than removing it. The station washes, dries and empties on its own, and in exchange the owner keeps a reservoir topped up, a dirty-water tank emptied and a dust bag in stock.

App-first control means Wi-Fi unavailability silences scheduling, remote start, and dock error alerts; local operation degrades to manual start only.

Yeedi C14 Pro Plus

Dust is automated for 45 days; water is automated for zero.

Because the pad never lifts, carpet protection depends on carpet detection and no-mop zones working every run, and no independent test has checked either yet.

Who each one is wrong for

Stated by the record itself. A robot being wrong for a household is a fact about fit, not a fault.

Ecovacs Deebot T50S Pro Omni
Deep shag and high-pile carpet
The mop lifts on carpet detection, but only by about 0.35 in, so pile deeper than that can still reach a raised pad. Low-pile carpet and rugs sit within the lift; shag does not.
Non-Wi-Fi or unreliable networks
Dock functions and app control require stable 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. Connectivity loss prevents remote job scheduling and dock error recovery.
Hands-off, set-and-forget environments
The station handles washing, drying and emptying, but the reservoir, the dirty-water tank and the dust bag are still the owner's. Mop pads matted with pet hair need clearing by hand on higher-shedding schedules.
Apartment dwellers with space constraints
Omni dock footprint (approximately 15 x 20 inches) requires dedicated floor space. No wall-mount option; relocation between rooms impairs mapping continuity.
Builders with steep, multi-level layouts
No stair negotiation. Threshold climbing limited to 2cm raised transitions. Upper floors on split-level homes require separate units or manual transfer.
Yeedi C14 Pro Plus
Owners who want the mop pad handled without touching it
Vacuum Wars lists no mop washing, drying or hot-water washing. The pad comes off and gets washed by hand after mopping runs.
Networks without a 2.4GHz band available
The robot connects over 2.4GHz Wi-Fi only. A 5GHz-only router, or a mesh that hides the 2.4GHz band, blocks setup.
Matter-based smart homes
Matter Alpha notes the C14 PRO PLUS is the one model in Yeedi's 2026 Prime Day lineup without Matter support, and Vacuum Wars confirms it.
Kitchens needing scrubbing of sticky or dried spills
A flat, non-rotating pad on a 300 mL tank with no detergent dispensing wipes; it does not scrub set-in residue.
Buyers who need a published runtime before committing
Yeedi has published no battery capacity, runtime or charge time for this model, so single-charge coverage of a large home is unknown.

What stays your job

The upkeep ownership hands back to you, whatever the autonomy level says.

Ecovacs Deebot T50S Pro Omni
  • Weekly: Check the main brush and side brush for wound hair.
  • Monthly: Tap out or rinse the robot’s filter and let it dry fully before refitting.
  • As the station prompts: Top up the clean-water reservoir and empty the dirty-water tank. The station refills the robot’s own tank between passes, washes and dries the pads, and cleans its own tray.
  • Every few months: Replace the 3 L dust bag as it fills.
  • Every 3-6 months: Side brush and main brush replacement (~$40-60 per pair); mop pad set replacement (~$25-35 per set).
  • In hard-water areas: Filling the reservoir with distilled or filtered water limits scale in the station’s heated water path.
Yeedi C14 Pro Plus
  • As needed: Empty the dock’s bagless 1.5 L bin, rated to hold up to 45 days of debris; no dust bags to buy.
  • After every use: Remove and hand-wash the flat OZMO mop pad after mopping runs, since the dock neither washes nor dries it.
  • As needed: Fill the robot’s 300 mL onboard water tank before each mopping run.
  • Monthly: Check the anti-tangle main brush and side brush for wrapped hair.
  • Monthly: Rinse the dock bin and clean the robot’s filter; Yeedi has published no replacement interval for this model.
  • As needed: Wipe dust from the LiDAR turret to keep mapping consistent.
05 Evidence

How much each of these is standing on.

Classifications rest on different depths of evidence. A pre-release assessment and a verified one are not the same kind of claim.
