All robot vacuums. Every figure below is placed against the whole class, so a gap can be read against how much the class itself varies.
The conditions each robot was assessed against, side by side. Rows marked in gold are where these machines genuinely differ.
| Condition | Deebot T30S Combo | Deebot T20 Omni |
|---|---|---|
| Home size | ||
| Under 1,500 sqft | Good180-minute runtime exceeds typical small-home needs; docking footprint wastes space in compact layouts. | GoodCapable but dock requires dedicated space; smaller water tanks mean frequent refills on compact layouts. |
| 1,500 – 3,000 | GoodRuntime and suction suit medium homes; scheduled runs handle 2000 sqft in one cycle with dock auto-empty. | GoodRuntime and dock capacity align well; ideal for this size range with multi-floor mapping support. |
| Over 3,000 | Depends180 minutes covers 3000+ sqft; multiple runs required. Dock space demands and mop-pad cost scale with larger homes. | DependsCoverage achievable but requires large home divided into 2-3 runs; water-tank capacity is limiting. |
| Primary floors | ||
| Hard floors | GoodHeated mop pads and 4000 Pa suction optimized for tile, laminate, and sealed hardwood. | GoodHot-water wash and AIVI 3D excel on hard floors; mop lift prevents water pooling. |
| Low / medium pile | GoodLiDAR mapping and dual-roller brush handle low-pile carpet systematically; owner reports show consistent performance. | GoodLiDAR reads low-pile carpet well; 10.5mm mop lift enables autonomous crossing. |
| High pile / shagthey differ | Depends4000 Pa suction is industry-standard; high-pile carpet requires more frequent brush maintenance and lower mop-pad reliability. | PoorOwner reports document reduced effectiveness and brush tangles on high-pile and Berber carpet. |
| Mopping needs | ||

A robot being poor for a condition is a fact about fit, not a fault. “Depends” means the record names a limit worth reading, not that the answer is unknown.
Nine inputs across three pillars, each weighted as shown and each scored so more is better. A robot can lead on one and trail on another, which is the point of showing them apart.
A number only means something next to the spread it sits in. Each track is the real range across every classified robot in the class, with the median marked.
Written on each record, and the only thing here every robot on the site carries.
What each design gives up to be good at what it is good at.
Combo consolidation reduces device-count friction but increases failure-point surface area compared to single-unit alternatives.
Station-side pad washing at 158 F keeps a clean pad on the robot without an owner task, and the bill is a large permanent station position plus hand-filled clean and waste tanks.
Hot-water wash adds cleaning capability but not autonomy because the dock cycle is 2-3 hours; autonomous operation remains scheduled, not on-demand.
TrueDetect 3D replaces the X1 Omni’s camera, which takes in-home imaging off the machine but also removes camera-based object recognition; obstacle detection is laser-only.
Stated by the record itself. A robot being wrong for a household is a fact about fit, not a fault.
The upkeep ownership hands back to you, whatever the autonomy level says.
Classifications rest on different depths of evidence. A pre-release assessment and a verified one are not the same kind of claim.

Evidence status counts the sources behind a classification, not their kind. A high count can be maker documentation and price coverage, so read it as how much was reviewed rather than as independent testing. How we weigh evidence.
