Roborock
Up to three
All robot vacuums. Every figure below is placed against the whole class, so a gap can be read against how much the class itself varies.
The conditions each robot was assessed against, side by side. Rows marked in gold are where these machines genuinely differ.
| Condition | Deebot N20 Pro+ | Roborock Q10 X5+ |
|---|---|---|
| Home size | ||
| Under 1,500 sqftthey differ | GoodCapable in compact spaces but spec'd for up to 550 sqm per charge; a simpler model handles sub-1,500 sqft at lower cost. | DependsRoborock publishes no runtime for this model, and no independent coverage test was found. |
| 1,500 – 3,000they differ | GoodTrueMapping LiDAR and 300-minute runtime cover mid-size single-floor homes in one session per manufacturer specs. | DependsNo runtime or coverage figure is published, so larger homes are unconfirmed for one charge. |
| Over 3,000they differ | Good300-minute runtime and 550 sqm coverage claim support very large single-floor layouts; verify actual runtime against floor type and suction mode. | DependsNo independent test of very large homes was found, and runtime is unpublished. |

| Hard floorsthey differ | Good8,000 Pa suction plus OZMO Pro 2.0 mopping handles hard floors for both dry and light-wet cleaning. | DependsRoborock claims 10,000 Pa suction, but no independent hard-floor pickup test was found. |
| Low / medium pilethey differ | GoodOwner reports confirm reliable pickup on low-pile and Berber-style rugs; mop pad should be removed or zones set to avoid wetting carpet. | DependsRoborock lists carpet detection and boost, but no independent carpet test was found. |
| High pile / shag | DependsOwner reports document reduced pickup depth on high-pile carpet; max suction partially compensates but shortens runtime below the 300-minute ceiling. | DependsNo independent high-pile test was found, and the mop lifts only 8 mm on carpet. |

A robot being poor for a condition is a fact about fit, not a fault. “Depends” means the record names a limit worth reading, not that the answer is unknown.
A number only means something next to the spread it sits in. Each track is the real range across every classified robot in the class, with the median marked.
Not compared, because fewer than two of these robots carry a published figure: Runtime, Charge time, Noise, Weight.
Written on each record, and the only thing here every robot on the site carries.
What each design gives up to be good at what it is good at.
Ecovacs’ first bagless dock eliminates the dust-bag cost cycle; the 1.5 L PureCyclone canister is rated at 45 days and is emptied by hand, which releases dust a sealed bag would have contained.
The vibrating mop pad is a real cleaning tool on lightly soiled hard floors. No dock wash and no mop lift mean carpet-adjacent runs require pad removal or careful zone mapping: set-and-forget mopping is not what this hardware delivers.
Self-emptying and a lifting mop at $320, with no independent test yet to show how either performs.
Stated by the record itself. A robot being wrong for a household is a fact about fit, not a fault.
The upkeep ownership hands back to you, whatever the autonomy level says.
Classifications rest on different depths of evidence. A pre-release assessment and a verified one are not the same kind of claim.

Evidence status counts the sources behind a classification, not their kind. A high count can be maker documentation and price coverage, so read it as how much was reviewed rather than as independent testing. How we weigh evidence.
