Ecovacs

Ecovacs
Up to three
All robot vacuums. Every figure below is placed against the whole class, so a gap can be read against how much the class itself varies.
The conditions each robot was assessed against, side by side. Rows marked in gold are where these machines genuinely differ.
| Condition | Deebot N20 Pro+ | Ecovacs Deebot T90 Ma… |
|---|---|---|
| Home size | ||
| Under 1,500 sqftthey differ | GoodCapable in compact spaces but spec'd for up to 550 sqm per charge; a simpler model handles sub-1,500 sqft at lower cost. | DependsNo published runtime or coverage area; battery is documented only as 5,200 mAh with no stated minutes. |
| 1,500 – 3,000they differ | GoodTrueMapping LiDAR and 300-minute runtime cover mid-size single-floor homes in one session per manufacturer specs. | DependsCoverage and runtime figures are undocumented at launch beyond a 5,200 mAh battery spec. |
| Over 3,000they differ | Good300-minute runtime and 550 sqm coverage claim support very large single-floor layouts; verify actual runtime against floor type and suction mode. | DependsNo coverage-area or runtime data exists yet to confirm single-charge performance across large homes. |
| Primary floors | ||
| Hard floors | Good8,000 Pa suction plus OZMO Pro 2.0 mopping handles hard floors for both dry and light-wet cleaning. | GoodOZMO Roller 3.0 is built for hard floors, with 32-way water jets and a scraper limiting residue redistribution. |
| Low / medium pile | GoodOwner reports confirm reliable pickup on low-pile and Berber-style rugs; mop pad should be removed or zones set to avoid wetting carpet. | GoodA 15 mm auto mop lift and ZeroTangle 4.0 brushes are documented for low-pile carpet and rug transitions. |
| High pile / shag | DependsOwner reports document reduced pickup depth on high-pile carpet; max suction partially compensates but shortens runtime below the 300-minute ceiling. | DependsEcovacs' spec sheet does not address thick-pile performance; no independent suction test on high-pile carpet exists. |
| Mopping needs | ||
| Vacuum only | GoodVacuums first; the mop pad is optional. | GoodStrong vacuum; the mop lifts or detaches when not needed. |
| Light mopping | GoodFlat mop pad handles light, routine wiping of hard floors. | GoodActive mopping system covers routine floors easily. |
| Frequent moppingthey differ | DependsA dragged pad freshens floors but lacks the pressure or scrubbing for heavy, frequent mopping. | GoodPressure or rotating mop with self-wash is built for frequent mopping. |
| Upkeep you accept | ||
| Regular upkeep | GoodAbout 30 minutes of upkeep a month. | GoodAbout 35 minutes of upkeep a month. |
| Some upkeep | GoodAbout 30 minutes of upkeep a month. | GoodAbout 35 minutes of upkeep a month. |
| Minimal upkeepthey differ | GoodAbout 30 minutes of upkeep a month, and the dock empties the bin. | DependsAbout 35 minutes of upkeep a month. Minimal is 30 or less. |
A robot being poor for a condition is a fact about fit, not a fault. “Depends” means the record names a limit worth reading, not that the answer is unknown.
A number only means something next to the spread it sits in. Each track is the real range across every classified robot in the class, with the median marked.
Not compared, because fewer than two of these robots carry a published figure: Runtime, Charge time, Noise, Weight.
Written on each record, and the only thing here every robot on the site carries.
What each design gives up to be good at what it is good at.
Ecovacs’ first bagless dock eliminates the dust-bag cost cycle; the 1.5 L PureCyclone canister is rated at 45 days and is emptied by hand, which releases dust a sealed bag would have contained.
The vibrating mop pad is a real cleaning tool on lightly soiled hard floors. No dock wash and no mop lift mean carpet-adjacent runs require pad removal or careful zone mapping: set-and-forget mopping is not what this hardware delivers.
A day-one listing: the 40,000 Pa suction figure and OZMO Roller 3.0 mopping claims are Ecovacs’ own numbers, with no independent lab or hands-on test yet published.
Stated by the record itself. A robot being wrong for a household is a fact about fit, not a fault.
The upkeep ownership hands back to you, whatever the autonomy level says.
Classifications rest on different depths of evidence. A pre-release assessment and a verified one are not the same kind of claim.

Evidence status counts the sources behind a classification, not their kind. A high count can be maker documentation and price coverage, so read it as how much was reviewed rather than as independent testing. How we weigh evidence.
