Technical notes3 sections
Edge Cutting
UltraTrim 3.0 uses a dedicated edge-cutting disc on the right side of the mower, intended to trim directly along walls, fences and hedges. Coverage of the showing compares it with UltraTrim 2.0, which leaves less than 1.2 inches of uncut grass at the edge. A floating mechanism lets the disc follow terrain, and the maker lists three cutting-height settings of 4, 5 and 6 cm. The arm retracts automatically when it meets an obstacle.
Safety and Navigation
An infrared thermal sensor works with UltraView 2.0 to detect nearby people and pets and stop the edge disc. UltraView 2.0 combines 360-degree 3D lidar with AI vision and needs no RTK station.
Timing
MOVA showed the machine at IFA 2026, held September 4 to 8 in Berlin, and said UltraTrim 3.0 is expected to debut in the United States next year on its second-generation LiDAX Ultra models.
