    What happened

Infrared cameras detect objects, including in the dark, and the 430V covers up to 4,800 square meters. Independent testing of the vision system is the open item to watch.

    Bottom line

The announcement describes capabilities by design; field performance was not documented when the models were unveiled.

    Impact

    On autonomy

    • Built-in AI vision identifies objects such as footballs and picnic blankets on the lawn.
    • Infrared cameras let the mower detect obstacles at night as well.
    • Wire-free installation uses the maker's EPOS satellite positioning system.
    • Images are processed on the mower and are not stored or shared.

    On readiness

    • The 430V is rated for lawns up to 4,800 square meters with slopes up to 50 percent.
    • Availability was stated as early 2026, so owners could not buy it at announcement.
    • Mowing patterns of stripes, checkerboard and triangles are selected in the Automower Connect app.

    Model Line

The October 16, 2025 announcement added four models to the Automower NERA range: the 405VE, 410VE, 430V and 450V. The 405VE and 410VE suit lawns up to 900 and 1,500 square meters. The 430V and 450V suit larger, more complex lawns up to 4,800 and 7,500 square meters.

    Vision and Navigation

The maker describes built-in AI vision using infrared cameras for object avoidance, working with its EPOS system for wire-free positioning. The V in the model name marks the vision versions, so this entry applies to the 430V and not to the 430X NERA.

    Specifications Stated for the 430V

The maker lists cutting height adjustment from 20 to 60 millimeters, slope performance up to 50 percent, zone control, and cellular, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. Availability was given as early 2026.
