01 Classification

What each one does on its own.

The Autonomy Ladder is the same five rungs for every robot on the site. A rung describes the conditions a robot handles without you, not how good it is.

Any task, any setting
IV
Environmental
Handles new obstacles without help

Finishes familiar jobs on its own

02 Assessment

Where they actually differ.

The Robovations Score is nine inputs across three pillars, each weighted as shown and each scored so that more is better. A robot can lead on one and trail on another, which is the point of showing them apart. Cost of ownership and data handling are reported on each robot's own page and are never averaged into the score.

03 Measured against the class

How far apart is a long way?

A number only means something next to the spread it sits in. Each track below is the real range across every classified robot in the class, with the median marked.

04 Ownership

What the numbers leave out.

The trade-off

What each design gives up to be good at what it is good at.

Goko M6

An industrial-robotics pedigree and a proven multi-sensor navigation approach (VSLAM plus RTK plus IMU) support the engineering claim, but this is RobotPlusPlus’s first consumer product, funded through Kickstarter, with no shipped units yet to test either claim against.

Husqvarna Automower 415X

The 415X costs more per acre covered than larger models, but only if your yard exceeds two-thirds of an acre. Under that threshold, mid-tier pricing reflects accurate capacity, not poor value.

Who each one is wrong for

Stated by the record itself. A robot being wrong for a household is a fact about fit, not a fault.

Goko M6
Buyers needing a mower available for purchase and delivery now
As of this research the M6 has not shipped to any customer; it is in Kickstarter-funded preorder status with a reported October 2026 first-batch date.
Buyers who require independently verified slope performance before purchase
The 90% slope-traversal claim is a manufacturer marketing figure without independent verification.
Buyers who require a documented blade-safety specification
No specific blade-stop-on-lift timing was found; an off-ground alert is documented as part of the anti-theft system rather than as an explicit blade-safety feature.
Husqvarna Automower 415X
Slopes past 40 percent, or steep ground along the wire run
The rated maximum is 40 percent inside the installation and 15 percent at the boundary wire, so a steep lawn edge constrains where the wire can go before the grade constrains the mower. Rough or clay-heavy yards slow navigation.
Owners requiring wire-free or virtual-boundary setup
Requires perimeter wire installation (buried or surface). No wireless geofencing mode available.
Properties with dense coverage obstacles or shaded areas
GPS signal degrades in heavy tree cover. Dense lawn sections may require manual rerouting; not suited for stop-and-go obstacle courses.

What stays your job

The upkeep ownership hands back to you, whatever the autonomy level says.

Goko M6
  • Blades: 16.5 in (420mm) floating cutting deck; replacement interval and cost are not published.
  • Boundary setup: Manufacturer states no boundary wire is required; zones and boundaries are set via CyberNav Fusion mapping and the app.
  • Battery: Expandable battery option (single or dual pack); charging cadence not independently documented.
  • Charging station: Not documented.
Husqvarna Automower 415X
  • Weekly: Clear debris from wheels and mower base after operation in wet or leaf-heavy conditions.
  • Monthly: Clean dock charging contacts and perimeter-wire sensor pads with dry cloth.
  • Every 3-6 months: Inspect boundary wire for cuts or loose joints; test continuity with included checker.
  • Seasonally (spring/fall): Rotate or replace blades if worn (<$50 per pair); drain and store battery if not operating winter months.
  • Annually: Replace blade pair; inspect dock weatherstripping and cable for cracks.
05 Evidence

How much each of these is standing on.

Classifications rest on different depths of evidence. A pre-release assessment and a verified one are not the same kind of claim.

Robovations classifies robots; it does not rank them. Nothing on this page is a recommendation, and no manufacturer influences a classification or its placement here.
