Up to three
All robot vacuums. Every figure below is placed against the whole class, so a gap can be read against how much the class itself varies.
The conditions each robot was assessed against, side by side. Rows marked in gold are where these machines genuinely differ.
| Condition | Deebot X9 Pro Omni | Roomba Plus 575 Combo |
|---|---|---|
| Home size | ||
| Under 1,500 sqft | GoodSingle-session runtime covers under 1500 sqft; efficient bin-emptying interval for compact homes. | GoodCompact 11.93 x 3.29 x 11.73 in chassis and LiDAR mapping comfortably cover a smaller single-level home in one scheduled run. |
| 1,500 – 3,000they differ | GoodTarget size range. Multi-floor mapping supports two-level homes; single-session scheduling typical. | DependsiRobot has not published runtime or recharge-and-resume specs for this SKU; mid-size single-level coverage is not independently confirmed. |
| Over 3,000 | DependsExceeds single-session battery range. Multi-run scheduling required; adds overall cycle duration. | DependsNo documented runtime or multi-session resume exists for this SKU; large single-level coverage above 3,000 sqft is unconfirmed. |
| Primary floors | ||
| Hard floors | GoodDual rollers and suction calibrated for hard surfaces. Mop wash cycles optimized for tile and laminate. | Good25,000 Pa suction and LiDAR-mapped navigation are well suited to consistent hard-floor debris pickup and coverage. |
| Low / medium pile | GoodLow-pile carpet is primary design target. Dual-roller traction ensures consistent coverage. | Good25,000 Pa suction handles standard low-pile carpet pickup, and mop pads auto-lift about 10mm on carpet detection. |
| High pile / shagthey differ | PoorOwner reports document suction loss and roller slippage on high-pile and shag. Not recommended for carpet-exclusive homes. | Depends25,000 Pa is iRobot's compact-tier suction, below its higher-suction combos; thick high-pile pickup is not independently documented. |
| Mopping needs | ||
| Vacuum only | GoodStrong vacuum; the mop lifts or detaches when not needed. | GoodStrong vacuum; the mop lifts or detaches when not needed. |
| Light mopping | GoodActive mopping system covers routine floors easily. | GoodActive mopping system covers routine floors easily. |
| Frequent mopping | GoodPressure or rotating mop with self-wash is built for frequent mopping. | GoodPressure or rotating mop with self-wash is built for frequent mopping. |
| You want to… | ||
| Empty bin myself | GoodWeekly mop-pad swaps and monthly filter changes align with hands-on ownership profile. | GoodAutoWash Dock automation is optional for hands-on owners; manual bin emptying and pad rinsing remain available if preferred. |
| Empty occasionally | GoodDock automation (heating, water service) reduces overall effort; manual tasks (pad swaps, tank refills) remain weekly. | GoodDock automation covers dustbin emptying and mop-pad wash and dry cycles; owners still handle periodic detergent and water refills. |
| Set-and-forget | DependsMop system requires weekly manual intervention. True hands-off operation unavailable on Omni platform; consider self-wash + auto-dry docks for zero-touch mop service. | DependsiRobot documents months of hands-off maintenance, but the dock's water reservoir and detergent supply still need periodic manual refills. |
A robot being poor for a condition is a fact about fit, not a fault. “Depends” means the record names a limit worth reading, not that the answer is unknown.
Nine inputs across three pillars, each weighted as shown and each scored so more is better. A robot can lead on one and trail on another, which is the point of showing them apart.
A number only means something next to the spread it sits in. Each track is the real range across every classified robot in the class, with the median marked.
Not compared, because fewer than two of these robots carry a published figure: Runtime, Charge time, Weight.
Written on each record, and the only thing here every robot on the site carries.
What each design gives up to be good at what it is good at.
The station carries the mop routine and asks for space and refills in return: it heats its own wash water, dries with 145F air and doses detergent, while its clean and dirty tanks are filled and emptied by hand from a fixed floor position.
Compact footprint, compact suction: the 46% smaller chassis that fits under beds and sofas runs 25,000 Pa, below iRobot’s higher-suction combo tiers.
Runtime and weight go undocumented because iRobot has not published them, even though suction, dock temperatures and mop mechanics are all fully specified.
Seven weeks old: no independent reliability record exists yet.
Stated by the record itself. A robot being wrong for a household is a fact about fit, not a fault.
The upkeep ownership hands back to you, whatever the autonomy level says.
Classifications rest on different depths of evidence. A pre-release assessment and a verified one are not the same kind of claim.

Evidence status counts the sources behind a classification, not their kind. A high count can be maker documentation and price coverage, so read it as how much was reviewed rather than as independent testing. How we weigh evidence.
