A stain it can see gets washed until it clears; a stain it cannot classify gets the ordinary pass, and Dyson’s own footnote concedes results vary by stain type.

Hot-water roller washing in the dock removes the grimiest chore, at the cost of a dock that heats water to 70°C beside the floor it serves.

Ecovacs Deebot X12S OmniCyclone

The bagless cyclonic dock is the headline change and the biggest unknown: it removes a recurring bag cost but carries none of the field history Ecovacs’ bag-based Omni docks have built up over years.

Independent verification is thin because the machine is new, not because nobody looked: the SGS dust-mite figure is real third-party data, while suction, navigation and reliability claims still trace back to Ecovacs’ own launch materials.
