Roborock
Up to three
All robot vacuums. Every figure below is placed against the whole class, so a gap can be read against how much the class itself varies.
The conditions each robot was assessed against, side by side. Rows marked in gold are where these machines genuinely differ.
| Condition | Roborock Q10 S5+ | Roborock Q10 X5+ |
|---|---|---|
| Home size | ||
| Under 1,500 sqftthey differ | Good150-minute runtime and LiDAR mapping comfortably clear homes this size in a single run. | DependsRoborock publishes no runtime for this model, and no independent coverage test was found. |
| 1,500 – 3,000 | DependsNo stated recharge-and-resume; the 6-out-of-24 obstacle score raises stall risk over multi-room runs at this size. | DependsNo runtime or coverage figure is published, so larger homes are unconfirmed for one charge. |
| Over 3,000 | Depends150-minute runtime with no confirmed recharge-and-resume likely means multiple manual restarts to finish homes this large. | DependsNo independent test of very large homes was found, and runtime is unpublished. |

| Hard floorsthey differ | Good10,000 Pa suction plus the vibrating VibraRise pad clear hard-floor debris and spills well. | DependsRoborock claims 10,000 Pa suction, but no independent hard-floor pickup test was found. |
| Low / medium pilethey differ | GoodAuto-lift keeps the mop pad off carpet automatically, and 10,000 Pa suction reaches embedded low-pile debris. | DependsRoborock lists carpet detection and boost, but no independent carpet test was found. |
| High pile / shag | DependsNo high-pile-specific suction data exists; independent lab testing reports struggles with pet hair and heavier messes generally. | DependsNo independent high-pile test was found, and the mop lifts only 8 mm on carpet. |

A robot being poor for a condition is a fact about fit, not a fault. “Depends” means the record names a limit worth reading, not that the answer is unknown.
A number only means something next to the spread it sits in. Each track is the real range across every classified robot in the class, with the median marked.
Not compared, because fewer than two of these robots carry a published figure: Runtime, Charge time, Noise, Weight.
Written on each record, and the only thing here every robot on the site carries.
What each design gives up to be good at what it is good at.
The RockDock Plus auto-empties dust only: the VibraRise mop pad still gets rinsed and refitted by hand after every run, so hands-off ends at the dustbin.
Adding the dock costs runtime: 150 minutes against the dockless Q10 S5’s 180 minutes on the same 5,200 mAh pack.
A 6-out-of-24 obstacle score means loose cords and toys stop the job rather than getting routed around, so the LiDAR map alone doesn’t guarantee a clean run.
Self-emptying and a lifting mop at $320, with no independent test yet to show how either performs.
Stated by the record itself. A robot being wrong for a household is a fact about fit, not a fault.
The upkeep ownership hands back to you, whatever the autonomy level says.
Classifications rest on different depths of evidence. A pre-release assessment and a verified one are not the same kind of claim.

Evidence status counts the sources behind a classification, not their kind. A high count can be maker documentation and price coverage, so read it as how much was reviewed rather than as independent testing. How we weigh evidence.
