MOVA

Up to three
All robot lawn mowers. Every figure below is placed against the whole class, so a gap can be read against how much the class itself varies.
The conditions each robot was assessed against, side by side. Rows marked in gold are where these machines genuinely differ.
| Condition | MOVA AstraX | MOVA LiDAX Ultra Gen 2 |
|---|---|---|
| Yard size | ||
| Under ¼ acrethey differ | DependsMOVA has published no rated lawn area for AstraX. | GoodReports rate it for lawns up to 1,000 m², about a quarter acre. |
| ¼ – ½ acrethey differ | DependsMOVA has published no rated lawn area or battery figures for AstraX. | PoorThe reported 1,000 m² rating stops at about a quarter acre. |
| Over ½ acrethey differ | DependsNo area, runtime or charging figures exist for AstraX. | PoorLots over half an acre are more than double the reported 1,000 m² rating. |
| Terrain | ||
| Mostly flatthey differ | DependsNo terrain or slope rating has been published for AstraX. | GoodFlat lawns sit well inside MOVA's 45% slope rating. |
| Gentle slopes | DependsMOVA has not published a slope rating for AstraX. | DependsMOVA rates it for 45% slopes, and no independent slope test exists. |
| Steep / hillythey differ | DependsNo slope rating exists, and the arm's effect on stability on hills is undocumented. | PoorSteep slopes exceed MOVA's listed 45% maximum. |
| Grass type | ||
| Typical lawn grass | DependsMOVA has published no cutting width or cutting height figures for AstraX. | DependsNo independent cutting test of Gen 2 exists before its November 2026 release. |
| Mixed / tall growth | DependsNo cutting height range has been published for AstraX. | DependsMOVA has not published a cutting height range for Gen 2. |
| Thick (Bermuda / Zoysia) | DependsNo blade or cutting-system details have been published for AstraX. | DependsNo test of dense turf exists, and cutting-system figures are unpublished. |
| Boundary setup | ||
| Wireless requiredthey differ | DependsMOVA has not described AstraX's navigation or boundary method. | GoodLiDAR and an HDR AI camera map the lawn with no wire or RTK station, per MOVA. |
| Wire requiredthey differ | DependsMOVA has not said whether AstraX supports a boundary wire. | PoorThere is no boundary-wire mode; Gen 2 relies on UltraView 2.0 navigation. |
| No preferencethey differ | DependsAstraX's navigation and boundary method are unpublished. | GoodWire-free navigation meets this preference with no perimeter installation. |
A robot being poor for a condition is a fact about fit, not a fault. “Depends” means the record names a limit worth reading, not that the answer is unknown.
None of these has shipped, so they are assessed on track record, engineering plausibility and how the demonstrations match the claims.
Never averaged into it. These describe how much the maker has disclosed, not what the machine does.

| ReadinessShip-date specificity, pricing transparency, distribution and regulatory status. Published beside the number; never averaged in. | 15/100 | 65/100 |
| DisclosureHow much of the product is disclosed. Higher means fewer fundamental unknowns remain. Published beside the number; never averaged in. | 20/100 | 52/100 |
A number only means something next to the spread it sits in. Each track is the real range across every classified robot in the class, with the median marked.
These robots share no measured specification with enough published figures to plot. That is a gap in the record, not a finding about the robots.
Written on each record, and the only thing here every robot on the site carries.
What each design gives up to be good at what it is good at.
An arm that clears debris and waters beds would widen what a mower does, but MOVA has not said whether AstraX will be sold.
Choreographed demonstrations show the arm moving on cue, while no report shows it clearing a real lawn unaided.
A separate edge module aims to end hand trimming, and its 0 cm claim comes from MOVA with no independent test yet.
A heat sensor guards the exposed edge blades, but how reliably it stops them has not been independently checked.
Stated by the record itself. A robot being wrong for a household is a fact about fit, not a fault.
The upkeep ownership hands back to you, whatever the autonomy level says.
Classifications rest on different depths of evidence. A pre-release assessment and a verified one are not the same kind of claim.

Evidence status counts the sources behind a classification, not their kind. A high count can be maker documentation and price coverage, so read it as how much was reviewed rather than as independent testing. How we weigh evidence.
