All robot vacuums. Every figure below is placed against the whole class, so a gap can be read against how much the class itself varies.
The conditions each robot was assessed against, side by side. Rows marked in gold are where these machines genuinely differ.
| Condition | Roomba Max 775 Combo | Deebot T30 Pro Omni |
|---|---|---|
| Home size | ||
| Under 1,500 sqft | GoodCapable but overkill for apartment-sized spaces; faster-cycling mop-only units suit compact homes better. | Good180-minute runtime covers under 1,500 sqft in one pass; standard mode sufficient. |
| 1,500 – 3,000 | Good30,000Pa suction completes most 2-floor homes in one run; hot-water mop ideal for kitchen and bathroom flooring. | GoodTypical range for this model; multi-room scheduling handles splits across two floors efficiently. |
| Over 3,000they differ | GoodExtended runtime and auto-empty dock handle large homes across multiple rooms; multi-floor mapping navigates complex layouts. | DependsDeep cleans on 3,000+ sqft single floors require mid-session recharge; extends total time to 3-4 hours. |
| Primary floors | ||
| Hard floors | GoodHot-spray mop and motorized wash cycle excel on tile, hardwood, and vinyl; no manual water changes required. | GoodConsistent vacuum performance across sealed hardwood and tile; mopping results good on hard floors. |
| Low / medium pile | Good30,000Pa suction and motorized side brush deliver reliable pickup on low-pile and twist carpet; mop compatibility requires no-mop zones. | GoodVacuum and mopping both perform well on low-pile carpet per owner reports. |
| High pile / shag | DependsiRobot flagships document suction loss on shag and high-pile; mop performance on thick carpet may require manual intervention on heavily matted areas. | DependsVacuum handles high-pile; mopping performance degrades significantly and owner reports show suction loss. |
| Mopping needs | ||
| Vacuum only | GoodStrong vacuum; the mop lifts or detaches when not needed. | GoodStrong vacuum; the mop lifts or detaches when not needed. |
| Light mopping | GoodActive mopping system covers routine floors easily. | GoodActive mopping system covers routine floors easily. |
| Frequent mopping | GoodPressure or rotating mop with self-wash is built for frequent mopping. | GoodPressure or rotating mop with self-wash is built for frequent mopping. |
| You want to… | ||
| Empty bin myself | GoodAuto-empty and hot-water dock reduce daily contact, but weekly water-tank refills, mop-pad swaps, and dock cleaning remain necessary. | GoodWeekly dustbin/mop tank emptying and monthly pad swaps required; not fully hands-off. |
| Empty occasionally | GoodHot-water dock and motorized wash cycle handle most routine maintenance; weekly checks and monthly consumable swaps keep effort moderate. | GoodDock automation handles mop cleaning and air drying; weekly bin empty is all that is required for basic operation. |
| Set-and-forget | PoorHot-water dock and mop-pad washing require weekly intervention; no truly set-and-forget configuration available for combo units. | PoorWeekly maintenance (dustbin empty, water refill) required; not a fully hands-off system. |
A robot being poor for a condition is a fact about fit, not a fault. “Depends” means the record names a limit worth reading, not that the answer is unknown.
Nine inputs across three pillars, each weighted as shown and each scored so more is better. A robot can lead on one and trail on another, which is the point of showing them apart.
A number only means something next to the spread it sits in. Each track is the real range across every classified robot in the class, with the median marked.
Not compared, because fewer than two of these robots carry a published figure: Runtime, Charge time, Noise.
Written on each record, and the only thing here every robot on the site carries.
What each design gives up to be good at what it is good at.
You are paying flagship money for the dock rather than the navigation. The AutoWash Dock is not new hardware, it has been iRobot’s mop-washing base since the Combo 10 Max in 2024, but it is where most of the price and all of the floor space goes.
Hot-water capability removes manual mop-fill friction, but it shifts dock failure modes from simple (a clogged nozzle) to compound (water circulation, heating, the roller wash cycle). Recovery means dock troubleshooting, not just a part swap.
Longitudinal data is thin. The machine launched in June 2026, so owner reports on roller wear, the dock’s water circuit and long-run map stability are still sparse. The classification rests on published specification more than on accumulated field evidence.
The dock eliminates manual mop rinsing, but introduces a 20-30 minute wash-and-dry cycle that conflicts with quiet household hours.
Ecovacs publishes up to 290 minutes in silent mode on hard floor, but that is a best case; raising suction toward the 11,000 Pa maximum shortens a charge substantially, and no runtime at that setting is published.
The automated dock adds convenience but brings its own upkeep, mop pads, dust bags and tank refills, that a budget vacuum does not carry.
Stated by the record itself. A robot being wrong for a household is a fact about fit, not a fault.
The upkeep ownership hands back to you, whatever the autonomy level says.
Classifications rest on different depths of evidence. A pre-release assessment and a verified one are not the same kind of claim.

Evidence status counts the sources behind a classification, not their kind. A high count can be maker documentation and price coverage, so read it as how much was reviewed rather than as independent testing. How we weigh evidence.
