bObsweep UltraVision · Dreame X30 Ultra
All robot vacuums. Every measure below is plotted against the full class, so a difference can be read against how much the class itself varies.

What each one does on its own.
The Autonomy Ladder is the same five rungs for every robot on the site. A rung describes the conditions a robot handles without you, not how good it is.
Where they actually differ.
The Robovations Score is nine inputs across three pillars, each weighted as shown and each scored so that more is better. A robot can lead on one and trail on another, which is the point of showing them apart. Cost of ownership and data handling are reported on each robot's own page and are never averaged into the score.

Not compared, because fewer than two of these robots carry a published figure: Charge time, Height.
What the numbers leave out.
The trade-off
What each design gives up to be good at what it is good at.
The dock takes care of dust for up to 180 days; the mop is a cloth you wash yourself.
List price is $929 at bObsweep, yet retailer sales have sold the same model for $299, so the price paid depends almost entirely on timing.
MopExtend improves edge and corner coverage on the robot’s own detection, and the reach it adds is 4 cm, not a room’s worth. It is a mount that swings within the machine’s footprint, not an arm that extends past it.
Automatic pad detach and in-place washing remove the weekly mop chore. The price is a base station 23.2 inches tall on a 13.4 by 18 inch footprint that has to stay put beside an outlet.
Who each one is wrong for
Stated by the record itself. A robot being wrong for a household is a fact about fit, not a fault.
- Homes with shag or deep high-pile rugs
- bObsweep's own manual says the brush is not suitable for shag, and no published figure covers other high-pile carpet.
- Households that want a mop washed and dried by the dock
- The mop is a clip-on microfiber cloth with no rotation, no low-water alert and no washing station; owners wash the cloths by hand.
- Long-haired households wanting no brush maintenance
- Best Buy owners report hair wrapping the brush roll and weekly manual clearing, since the brush has no self-cutting feature.
- Networks that broadcast only 5 GHz Wi-Fi
- The owner's manual requires a 2.4 GHz connection to reach the app, maps and schedules.
- Homes with sunken showers or step-downs left open
- One Best Buy owner watched it fall into a shower well on its second run, and the manual warns it may stall on ledges.
- Homes above roughly 2,600 sq ft of continuous floor
- Dreame states 243 m2, about 2,615 sq ft, on a single charge. Larger continuous layouts mean the robot recharges partway through and resumes, which lengthens the job rather than stopping it.
- Owners wanting minimal dock footprint
- The base station measures 13.4 by 18 inches on the floor and stands 23.2 inches tall, so it needs a permanent position against a wall beside an outlet rather than a cabinet slot.
- Wi-Fi 5 GHz-only networks or band-locked systems
- 2.4 GHz is required to provision the robot and reach it from the app; without it there is no pairing, no scheduling and no multi-floor map management. The mechanical behaviors, MopExtend and the carpet pad handling, run on onboard detection and are unaffected by connectivity.
- Budget-focused buyers
- Street pricing $799-999 seats X30 Ultra in mid-to-premium range. Older Dreame models (L10s Ultra) deliver sealed-floor capability at $549-699 with lower arm-maintenance overhead.
- Owners expecting a reaching arm
- MopExtend is a mop mount that swings out 4 cm (1.57 in) within the robot's own footprint on edge detection. It does not extend into spaces the robot cannot drive to, and it plays no part in carpet coverage.
What stays your job
The upkeep ownership hands back to you, whatever the autonomy level says.
- After every use: Wash the microfiber mop cloths by hand and refill the water tank; replacements are $9 for two.
- Weekly: Clear hair from the main brush, which owners report wraps without a self-cutting feature.
- Monthly: Clean the dustbin, filter, sensors and charging station contacts, per the owner’s manual.
- Every 3-6 months: Replace the 6 L dust bag ($11.99), which bObsweep rates for up to 180 days.
- As needed: Replace side brushes ($9.99) and main brush (from $14.99) when worn.
- Annually: Inspect the charging station; the manual lists station replacement every 12 months as a guide.
- After every run: Handled by the station, which washes the mop pads in place with 60 C water and dries them with hot air; pads come off and go back on without owner involvement.
- Every 3-4 weeks in typical use: Refill the 4.5 L clean water tank with ordinary tap water and empty the waste tank. The station dispenses Dreame’s own cleaning solution into the clean water.
- Weekly: Wipe the station’s docking contacts and the robot’s sensor windows; clear hair from the main brush and side brush.
- Every 3 months: Replace the auto-empty dust bag (~$15-20 per bag; expected lifespan 8-12 weeks in typical use).
- Every 6 months: Replace main brush and side brush (~$30-40 per set), or as wear becomes visible.
- As pads lose absorbency: Replace the mop pads. In-place washing extends their life but does not remove wear.
How much each of these is standing on.
Classifications rest on different depths of evidence. A pre-release assessment and a verified one are not the same kind of claim.
